Details:
If not fully tested, then items are tested to the full extent and may have something wrong that I discovered. Vacuum tube testing, I do not sell just passable vacuum tubes. I take lots of pictures so you can see cosmetics. I am a sound engineer of over 35 years and ran two onyx 4080 mixing desks on the road.
Please see pictures for cosmetic condition. I am not a huge retail outlet. Please have a look at the pictures for cosmetic condition. If fully tested then that is what they are.
This offer is for. Fully working. All tubes purchased have loads of life left in them. Please realize when buying antique, vintage or used equipment that they cannot be in an absolute mint perfect condition, might need some service, now later.
As I have sold my 32k rig and no longer do venues, am selling spares to the onyx 4080. It is impossible to describe every scratch, scuff or mark. So take a good look. Low and weak tubes are unceremoniously thrown in the nearest trash can, unless they collectors items.
I may have the same tube but from differing years matched up in test results, which means they cosmetically or internally look a little different. When this fails it pays to have a spare avoid downtime. When using the word matched it means in test results rather than cosmetic looks. That is what they are there for.
If this part of your desk goes then there is no getting around it. The numbers/letters in parentheses are equivalents put to help people find the correct tube. Are security marked. I make mistakes once in a while.
I also pack well. Then they are not included in the sale. Whilst I endeavor to put tubes together from the same year and look same, this is not always case. Sorry for you having to read this but would be surprised how many people think the items come with my table or a part of anatomy and/or wife's legs that I have accidentally caught on camera. Take it from me.
If it does not say base, stand, table, in either the main body of or title. Use the zoom function and have a good look. I try to resolve any issue both our best interests. I have 4 of these machines and all display a slightly differing value if test the same tube, as two testers are never.
So all test results are a guide only. Rectifiers and diode tubes do not have trans conductance values. I use a tv7/u military spec tester which is calibrated. I am sorry for having even to do this, but there are those out that think it is clever swap and change parts return us a faulty item.
In photographs we occasionally use props to display items in the best light possible. Most have one. So this shows what I get, and you get may be slightly different.
