It appears new, and there is nothing to indicate it was relapsed. It is for 1/4 tape. Ferrite heads last much longer than other types of heads, and Saki is known for their high-quality used as oem parts by a number tape machine manufacturers. I don't know much about this head other than, under magnification, the face of appears to have no discernible wear at all.

The solder cups on the back do appear to have had wires terminated them at some point, so I can only assume head was installed, i've listed condition as used, but literally cannot see any wear pattern or mark face under close inspection .e. I also reached out to john french at Jr magnetic sciences, which is the only operation know of that relapse ferrite heads, and he has no record servicing this head. Up for sale is a Saki ferrite type analog tape head the record position.
