Pros of Alesis PA80:

1. Eight-channel mixer: The Alesis PA80 allows you to connect up to eight different audio sources, making it suitable for small bands or live performances.

2. Powerful amplifier: With a 80-watt power amplifier, it can fill a medium-sized room with clear and crisp sound.

3. USB and SD card playback: You can play music from your computer or a USB drive, or even load up your own music on an SD card.

4. Guitar amp simulation: It features built-in guitar amp models, allowing you to practice or perform with a variety of different tones.

5. Affordable: Compared to other professional mixers, the Alesis PA80 is relatively affordable, making it a good option for beginners or those on a budget.

Cons of Alesis PA80:

1. Limited output options: The Alesis PA80 only has two XLR outputs, which may limit its flexibility in certain scenarios.

2. Lack of advanced features: Compared to more expensive mixers, the Alesis PA80 lacks some advanced features such as multi-band equalizers, high-pass filters, and more.

3. Limited headroom: With a maximum output of 80 watts, the Alesis PA80 may not have enough headroom for very loud performances, especially in large venues.

Conclusion:

The Alesis PA80 is a great option for small bands, solo performers, or beginners looking for an affordable and versatile mixer. Its eight-channel mixer, powerful amplifier, and built-in guitar amp models make it a versatile tool for live performances and practice. However, its limited output options and lack of advanced features may make it less suitable for more advanced users or larger venues.

Recommendation:

If you are looking for an affordable and versatile mixer for live performances or practice, the Alesis PA80 is a great option. Its eight-channel mixer, powerful amplifier, and built-in guitar amp models make it a versatile tool for small bands and solo performers. However, if you need more advanced features or are planning to perform in larger venues, you may want to consider a more expensive mixer with more output options and advanced features.

Details:

The previous owner removed the knobs and four mounting screws, other than that it is complete. It is blowing fusses, it looks like one of the output amps fried. In this listing the unit is being sold for parts or repair. I recently acquired this powered mixer with several other pieces of electronic equipment.

You can see in one of the pictures were there has been a lot heat around legs power output chips. The unit itself is in great physical shape. There is a lot of good parts and hardware here.
